Sic Bo Strategy

The moment you discover your favourite gambling game, is the moment you will make the decision that you simply have to win it. So when you chance upon the fun table game of Sic bo, before you begin play, check out a comfortable and effective playing strategy for the game. As soon as you do start to develop a playing strategy for Sic Bo, you will get more of a thrill for the game, enjoy it more and will keep wanting to return for more.

So how does one go about doing that – develop a playing strategy for Sic Bo? There are plenty of web sites that contain articles that will help you do that; you can also speak to friends who have made money playing the game and you can watch the game in motion whilst participating in a Sic bo tutorial. Look at the way the bets are placed on the Sic bo table and try and see if you are able to possible predict the different possible outcomes of the three dice. (Remember: even though Sic bo means Dice Pair in Chinese, the game is played with three dice.) If you want to really do well in Sic bo then you should place multiple wagers; but a good playing strategy for Sic Bo is to look at the odds as indicated on the table, before beginning play.

Of course, the most obvious thing you want to do while developing your playing strategy for Sic Bo is assess the different types of wagers that you can place in the game. There are seven of these. Read them; try and understand them; see how they are used in practice and try them out yourself.

The first bet is known as the Dice Face: you can place a wager stating that any one of the sides of the three dice (six in total) will come up. If it does, you win even money. If two of them appear, you will get paid at 2 to 1. And if all three of the dice show the digit you have selected, the paid increases to 3 to 1. Bear in mind that there is a house edge with this bet (obviously) and that it is around 8%.

The second bet is known as Two Faces: as its name indicates, this wager combines two numbers that have to show. The house advantage is higher with this bet, more than double, at 17%. If however, you bet that a 3 and a 2 will appear and it does, you get paid at 5 to 1. So a greater house edge, but more winnings if you succeed.

The third bet is Totals: you can make a bet on the total of the three die, selecting from a range of 4 to 17. The payouts depend on the selected total which varies, as do thus the payouts. So look at the payout table to see what you will be getting.

Fourthly, Small or Big: (the game Sic bo is sometimes called this). In this instance you are betting that the total of the three die will also fall in a certain range. “Small” being 4 to 10; “Big” being 11 to 17. In this bet, the house edge drops dramatically to a mere 3%.

Fifth, the Triple: players bet all three faces will come up with a certain digit and that is a very large payout of 150 to 1 but you are in with a small chance of winning, and the casino has a 30% advantage.

Sixth, Any Triple: again with a 30% advantage against you, you are stating all 3 faces will be the same, but the payout is high at 24 to 1.

Finally, Any Pair: betting a pair of a certain number will come up and you get 8 to 1 if you’re right. This is one of the hardest bets at the table with a 33% house advantage.

Study these bets well; read up on the subject; play for fun and practice, and that will be your best way of developing a playing strategy for Sic Bo.
